Early in 2013, Chris Grollnek formed a team of Active Shooter Prevention Experts, including Chris Grollnek, Dave “Bo” Bolgiano, Dr. Morgan Banks and Dave Rodriguez, to partner with Parroco Television to produce a free training video for everyone, especially the “would’b” victims. The result was the release of a no cost version of the first private funded Active Shooter Prevention Video ensure there would be no cost to viewers.
With an exceptional amount of active shooter events (the ones that qualify to be an Active Shooter by FBI standard(s); which mandate four deaths plus one shot to qualify in a statistical analysis. This does not mention all the active shooter incidents that have several shot and minimal loss of life. That said, after the active shooter incidents through 2013, including the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard ( #NavyYard #ActiveShooter ) on September 16th, the studio rushed to make prudent edits so as to allow the release of a broad reaching active shooter training video available for free.
Superstes (Latin for “Survival”), is now available for web, YouTube, social media, streaming and network release. This video — compressed into 24.5 minutes of captivating and effective training — is perfectly tailored for a 30-minute training or television time slot. Chris Grollnek, the nations leading expert on the phenomenon of Active Shooter and Active Shooter Prevention is especially dedicated to the survival of those potential victims who are not first responders, but actually first on scene as their the potential victims. In other words, those most immediately involved in these vicious incidents.
Chris now consults for CGPGMG, LLC, an international sought strategic alliance of companies containing the “who’s who” in Domestic Terrorism Prevention. Chris Grollnek has appeared on every major cable and national news network, near every syndicated radio broadcast as well as print media on free advice to surviving at the best possible outcome. Recently, Chris has been sought by a Canadian “Think Tank” responsible for consultation regarding action, training, and prevention of terrorist events for the Prime Minister and Parliament.

"If you have a phone, smack them in the head with the phone."
Grabs Nokia ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)?
Although "react, escape, survive" can be an effective strategy, I would prefer to "draw, aim, and fire". unfortunately, there are places we are not aloud to carry
My ways for Active Shooting
Run: Evacuate but leave quietly
Hide: Hiding somewhere where the shooters don't look at
Fight: Hit the main shooter with a table/chair and/or blind their sight with fire estinguisher
if there were a fire estinguisher, I would blind their sight and guard the weapons from the suspect
Kinder eggs are banned right?
Uh-oh
Lel I'm a kid watching this I'm well ready
We are traveling to t he USA this summer, and as much as I hate to admit it, I am watching this video just in case.
We don't tend to have active shooter incidents here- the last one I can remember was six years ago- so we aren't very prepared for them
It's sad how poorly people react to an active shooter. Over 100 people were shot (49 died) at an Orlando FL nightclub a few days ago. People panic, they freeze, they give up. If only 5-10 people in that nightclub would have "turned" on the shooter, they could have overpowered him and ended the killing. Throw bottles, glasses, chairs, tables, garbage cans, lamps, shoes, ANYTHING, bum rush the shooter and incapacitate him. Don't be a victim, don't be a statistic -act!
If you are able to lock down your office during an active shooter event and silence everything and turn out your lights and cell phones, and if some people in the locked down office are shot already during the incident, a person who is able to type a makeshift casualty card on a computer can do so. But be sure that the computer station is not visible or in the line of sight of the shooter–either with the computer screen or you typing. If the shooter sees any movement or activity on the screen as the shooter peaks at it, you could be in grave danger. Best to type this with the screen's back in front of the shooter, and use the computer screen and CPU base as concealments. An example of a makeshift casualty card typed for first responders may be this:2 graze-wounded, 4 seriously wounded, 1 dead on the spot. 17 others with no injuries. Make sure when you print the card, that the printer is as silent as possible. Use an object to block the printer noise if the printer makes noise–the shooter will react to any noise you produce in the locked-out room with sometimes deadly results.
1 question that I am really curious about is as I believe, " school " , work office, hospitals, some gyms have a ceiling that if you push it up it will move and you can slide it to the side and there are wires in there. So I wanted to know if any type of shooting happens and I'm in a building with that type of ceiling is it smart and safe to hide from shooter
learning a real useful martial like brazilian jiujitsu can't hurt
After watching this, I first thought of all the possible exits, than any possible hiding spots, at work. I feel like, for a grocery store, we don't have enough emergency exits (I wouldn't bother with the automatic doors. Too slow).
Decent hiding places are lacking. My final thought process? Go through all the aisles in my mind and try to remember what we have in each one so that if it comes to it, I'll have access to better 'weapons'. (Ex: Canned vegetable aisle? Good. Paper towels and toilet paper? Let's avoid running down that one.)
How do I get the 10 question quiz? Is there a download link I could get?
Thank you for this video Chis. I do need to say I almost expect something like this no matter where I might be. A movie, grocery store and yes at work. This woman is prepared and legally armed at all times. Yes I will fire back at an active shooter God forbid ever need be. I will be a survivor and hopefully be the reason others survive. We need more decent caring citizens to be armed at all times. It is sad that our minds now have to think this way but sadly this is what our world has become. Again thank you for this info as many do not have this mind set.
Thank you for presenting this! Very helpful and I will be training my staff to be prepared for an active shooter based on your information!
?????
First as a retired police officer, Thank you for teaching others how to think and survive in the world we live in now. It's a shame we see the innocent lives shot down because of others. I try everyday to teach people to be aware of what's out there, even give them tips of what they can do to help their chances of survival. One tip I usually share is the fire extinguisher, it is a fantastic choice for protection. It will always be somewhere in the office, the building, on the walls in a mall, and sometimes even in your home. These can be used to fight with, spray in the eyes, even knock the weapon out of the shooters hands. I have put 1000's of hours in practicing how to save others as well as myself. I started Law Enforcement back in 1990 and had a passion for protection ever since. I am now actively in personal protection, and covering 4 businesses with an estimated 70 employees. I will use your video after the holidays as a educational tool, in helping them both at work and in their personal lives how to think and react to these types of situations. Please feel free to send me any materials you have or you come up with in the future, I'd love to continue my education on these topics. Thank you again…
Management at my last place of employment use to harass crisis personalities because they felt when they snapped it would be a random act of violence.
not exactly but a lot of data shows people DO NOT rise to the occasion, they rise to the level of training they have
So, the most armed populace on earth is reduced to staplers and scissors. Awesome!!!
Thank you so much for producing this video and sharing it with the world. I work at #4 Times Square in NYC. I have always wondered what would I do if I were confronted with a Columbine-like situation either in the street or at work. Your video has helped me learn how to prepare and plan for such an event. Thank you and God Bless!
