Looks so awesome
Neat work. Make more actual build videos like this one. Awesome channel
Man, she's gorgeous with her colors on that wall.
That looks good where you hung it Clint did and amazing job on this flag both your channels are awesome
Vince,
Where did you get the DeWalt counter sink bit? What's the model number?
Hey Vince, their not called "French Cleats" any more. In my Wooden Flag Groups They are now called "Freedom Cleats" just so you know lol have a great day .
BTW: Nice looking flag
Nice work and nice flag, I mean REALLY nice flag. I usually make my angle cut with the table saw in the middle of the 1x. That way you have made both parts at once AND no matter what angle you cut it on the pieces are “complimentary” if your saw is off by a degree or two it won’t suck it back to the wall as well when you use two different cuts.
Good work Vince! The how to videos are my favorite!
Is it just the normal noise that tool makes while driving the screws and anchors or was the bit stripping out the heads?
I know the noise of an impact drill, but that did not sound like the ones I have heard. I have not heard a Milwaukee.
Hi Vince, nice idea for the hanger and it was nice to see someone using the tools in a professional manner.
This would be a great alternative to a peg board at a tool station?
Sweet job Vince…dewalt flip bit is awesome too
That’s pretty cool.
Now I just need to get the Milwaukee table saw and the sliding dual bevel mitre saw.
Thanks for showing how to do this Vince.
Awesome ????
Nice
I have done floating shelves like this as well, prefer 22.5 or 30 degree bevels over the traditional 45. I feel the edges are less fragile. Just my preference
Not gonna lie, I was really hoping to see you hang off the two wall mounted cleats to prove the 50 lbs. per spiral anchor rating! ?
Great job Vince ?, YOU COULD HAVE SHOWED THE 887 doing something it's capable of handling ??
Then you just gotta hope all the banging around in the garage isn't enough to make that thing jump the cleat. 😀 I suppose you could add a small strip to the top to anchor it in against vibration, or double stick tape, velcro, or a number of other things. Probably just paranoid aerospace thinking. There's ALWAYS differential expansion, vibration, dust/foreign object debris working into gaps. And on the West Coast, plus certain fracking intense zones in the flyover regions and out east, earthquakes. Although more typically, some yutz backing into the garage, and banging around enough to dislodge something. But for that, to be technically correct, you need earthquake straps and brackets. All irrelevant for PA, until they start drilling into your shale deposits for nat gas again. 😉
Looks good ,gotta love French cleat
That would have been a great opportunity to show off the Bosch laser level #justsayin
VERY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
This is an awesome way to hang stuff on drywall. I like how you can slide back and forth while staying level.
I've tried all kind of anchors to hang stuff up, tv,speakers, etc, and i think those twist are the best ones, they worked really well..
I know next to nothing about carpentry work, but now I know I little trick. TYVM, Vince! Myself, without having seen this, would've used wall anchors on the wall and saw-tooth hangers on the piece. This is much better and eliminates any guess work. ?
Vince
That's the why you hang Old Glory..
Slute that flag every day and be very thankful for all the men and women who fought for our freedom.
A Big Thank You to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard.
Again, great job Clint…
Very proud to see that flag in every video.
Love that art work. Nice to see something inspirational in the background every time we see VCG videos.
Looks awesome up there bro, and love the tutorial!
Very nice.
I do the same thing just I cut the 45 in the middle of a 2×4 or 1×6 and then use both halves but your way would probably be stronger and those drywall anchors are the bomb and it is 50lbs per anchor so 300lbs total. way awesome video ??
very nice…i am not in the carpentry business but learned alot from it…very easy to do ?
