Why do these Carpenters and Assistant Superintendents work Safe? To go home to their families and be able to come back and work the next day. “I enjoy working in construction, this is what I do,” said Assistant Superintendent, Ray Espinoza Sr. What a great attitude!
Featured project team members: Armando Romero (Carpenter 4), Brian Stone (Carpenter 3), and Ray Espinoza Sr (Assistant Superintendent) at the Broadway Office Tower topping out – Thanks for taking the time to tell us why you work safely.

This video is a part of Joeris C.A.R.E.S., our safety initiative focused on Safety Leadership. The goal of the Joeris CARES safety initiative is to cultivate safety leadership amongst all project team members and to make safety as personal as it is communal.
The tenants of Joeris C.A.R.E.S. are:
– Understanding that your COMMITMENT to your safety and the safety of others on the job and is of the highest standard.
– We have ACCOUNTABILITY with ourselves and others; making safe decisions when nobody is watching.
– RELATIONSHIPS are the key foundation for ensuring the safety of our co-workers and ourselves. Developing relationships where safe behaviors are encouraged and unsafe behaviors are immediately handled and discussed.
– Taking the EXTRA-STEP to compliment or acknowledge when safety is being done right but also when we see a safety risk, you rectify it, and never assume someone else will take care of it.
– Doing all of these things on a daily basis will make the Joeris Safety Program SUSTAINABLE and allow everyone to go home the way they came to work each day.
