THE BEST OF THE BEST
I come from tvtropes for awsome and i got weird.
That, my dear friends, is ART! Wow…
It's already been said over and again in the comments but I consider this a work of art. Whoever wrote, directed, and produced/edited this piece are geniuses and as talented as any I've ever seen. It captures everything in life as it passes by your eyes in that moment when the frailty of existence becomes clear. And your family and loved ones are symbolic in this piece, and would keep you safe if they could, but the end result is those are the ones you would leave behind. It is brief, it is poignant, it is relevant, and it is just an incredibly well done film.
It would have been just crushingly good if in the final scene they were just holding the chair because he had died.
Still brings tears to my eyes every time.
Why not push wearing helmets in cars too? Race car drivers wear them so helmets must help save lives too!!! You people might as well get all obsessed with that safety device too. Certainly there must be other safety devices that you beat the dead horse with.
AMAZING AD SHOULD BE SHOWN MORE!!
I adore life…
Yep, 8 years later and I still lost it again watching this.
sad thing is kids don't get it there is so much force in a car accident not even Somone strong as captain America can stop themselves
Damn. This ad gets me every time.
Best video ever… 2 angels was there .
The way the little girl looks at her dad when she realises he’s in danger. The way the girl and her mother calmly protect him from harm, like guardian angels keeping him safe. Exquisite.
I saw this in drivers ed today and it brought tears to my eyes. Watching this felt so warm and happy. This reminds me that wearing a seat belt isn't just for me, but also for the people who love me. So glad I fell upon this beautiful piece of art.
A really lovely and moving short film. I regularly walk past the small family-run studios
where this was made. I've read that the makers had to hire a specialist camera to obtain the special effects. Glad to see that so many people have viewed it. Beautiful.
It's interesting.
I've seen both versions of this.
The American and the UK. And I don't know which came first.
But why does the American one look nice, but doesn't have the emotional connection.
Whereas the UK one – this one. I'm crying like a baby.
Then I realised.
It's the music. So much more emotional in the UK one. Plus the music shift and the emotiveness of it at the precise moment when the table flies upward.
Th glitter symbolises glass
This is relatable in more than one way. I find this to be beautiful because it doesn't have to just be about a seatbelt. Or I suppose a better way to look about it is that it's more about the seatbelt of life. Depression, self loathing, internal struggles. Family is your reason to to do your best to care about yourself.
2018. I came back to see this commercial after discovering it when it came out. I think he moves me even more than before, having a better knowledge of life, love and death.
you make me cry.that was the best add ever.
Those cars that have lcd display fit in the rear and front should make this as a starting video when one enters the car … would be great … isnt it

Maybe it was just fatique from over an hour of Driver's Ed at 7:30, but I laughed way too hard at this when I saw it. Like, It's really sweet, but It's also kind of silly.
