It's easy for someone who sits in an office all day to come up with safety standards , but unless you physically have done hard labor you havn't the slightest clue how much more difficult some safety practices make for someone. Don't get me wrong I'm all about being safe it's the stupid people who screw it up for everyone else. Nobody wants to die on the job, but also nobody wants an "osha approved safety system" that's going to effect the way they do their job either.
I took the 10 hour online test passed it but, the test I took had nothing to do with my profession and it was a test instructed by my managers that I take. To me personally was a waste of time and f.y.i being tied up on a roof where some might think it's a good safety procedure it isn't , if anything it enhances the dangers of being a roofer because now you have not only airlines to worry about tripping over or getting snagged now you have ropes in your way to .
