On April 11, 2014 OSHA released “The Final Rule” to to 1910.269 and 1926 subpart V. This new law has a great impact on the work environment of utility workers and those who manage them.
The Utility Safety and Ops Leadership Network “USOLN” board gathered information and opinions in an attempt to interpret the newly released OSHA 1910.269 standard. On April 22, 2014, they presented a summary and discussion of the views and opinions of the USOLN board for those in attendance at the Incident Prevention Utility Safety Conference and Expo in Orlando Florida on April 22nd.
