Kevin your to perfect but that's good
I loved watching your video. But there's only one point I disagree with…..the fact that you keep your material and your fan wide open. That leaves you no adjustment for detail. Middle volume for both is optimal. If I need to stop my large surface area and go to a tiny intricate area….I can do that because I've left some room for adjustment forward and backward. I would NEVER suggest anyone to keep their fan wide open nor their material volume! When it comes down to the button……things start drying……you don't have time to go the distance and fine tune the whole pattern again. Whereas, If I'm only half way….it takes that much less time to get there.
wow i am not even planing to paint anything just randomly came here but now i feel like a professional painter in my mind and want to paint something lol
They should have a dual lazar pointer or level on the gun lol. That way as you. move away from your surface you can see your coverage range without even pulling the trigger. You can have the Lazars at 60 degree angles or something. Just a thought.
I don't have the tools or the place to do that but i appreciate that you are sharing these helpfull tips! Can i ask tips for DIY chrome paint hight temperature plastic like the inside of my headlights?

Just so ya know in case you don't. Automotive paint vapors – just the vapors soak though any exposed skin and is detectable in the bloodstream within seconds.
Best to drink beer and smoke before painting your car to combat the paint chemicals in your bloodstream.
Great video, very informative. I do have a question though…do you get your blow from Eastwood too? LOL!
thank you my friend

How long do I wait between paint and clear
Why not plumb with PVC? I plumbed my entire shop with 470 psi 1.5 inch schedule 80. I was told by several paint supply places that this was a very good setup. Please explain your reasoning why not to use this setup?
Haven't watched part 2 yet, but what do you do about painting when you need to overlap like, say you paint half a panel then you need to move over to paint the other half how far down the painted part should you repaint to make sure all surface is covered if that makes sense.
Hi Kev
my reg and filters are close to my compressor and connected by a long coiled airline.

Dude…. why would you have a blue tooth headset during filming?
very helpful. thank you! im just painting furniture but forgot how to use my asturo hvlp gun. do you have any videos talking about all the tiny internal parts of a gun?
I am restoring a "59 Glastron boat (using high quality marine grade paint) and really appreciate Kevin's instructional videos on using a spray gun, how to practice spraying and fine tuning the different settings on the gun I've also watched Kevin's videos on block sanding which has been very critical in the quality I am looking for in the end. I plan on watching this video a couple more times before applying the final coat.
thanks

I literally grew up watching the powerblock every Saturday waiting for trucks to come on to watch kevin do body work and paint, freakin master of the gun.
Kevin, I've learned so much from you – this is my second time watching this video alone. Thank you for what you do, you do an excellent job of it =)
