Thank you for publishing these helpful and informative videos
Great for my students
OSHA has really become a joke of a big government, big money, Nazi organisation. Their "laws" have done nothing but make my job harder and made it more difficult for my employer to compete. A fine for a hard hat violation costs more than being arrested for driving intoxicated! Fuck you OSHA, and fuck our current so called "leaders" in our joke of a government.
As indicated toward the beginning of the video, it's up to employers to provide a safe work environment for their employees. It's great that OSHA conducts unannounced inspections.
@spazmoso
okay, then that is highly illegal for them to do that. That might be something you would take up with the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. They are an independent organization that oversees all of the citations issued by OSHA to determine if they are good or not, and as long as you have taken digital pictures of the violation and have noted in writing that it has been fixed, then they can't do anything to you. Also, does your company require search warrants?
@jreily88 osha was up our asses for a single issue,that was sorted out.but being that the office for osha was across the street,they thought they could come over whenever they wanted we complied beyond the osha minimum but they took it to the point of harassment,being safe is 1 thing but big brother better step back,all its doing is putting workers at risk to make up for all the bullsh#$ hoops that have to be jumped through.big government has got to change!someones gonna snap and it might be me?
@ROCKERSLASH1
That is not something that OSHA really specifies in. Their main purpose is to basically make sure employers are complying with safety standards without affecting overall production. What you're asking we probably fall under Quality and efficiency control standards.
@spazmoso
In what ways are they treating poorly? If it's labor related such as doing dangerous work with no protective equipment, you should either complain to your employer, or if that doesn't work, complain to OSHA, but BE SPECIFIC. If you don't specify what you have a problem with, it will make things very difficult. Also, your personal information will be kept secret if you wish.
